A spectacular race through the narrow streets of Morcote and the magnificent monumental staircases that lead from Piazza Granda to the Church of Santa Maria del Sasso. An untimed but direct elimination race that will test even the strongest competitors. 420 steps of history and breathtaking scenery!
Among the participants (100), heats will be drawn. 20 heats consisting of 5 runners each. The top 2 from each heat qualify for the next heat. The last three finishers will be grouped into playoff heats. This way, everyone will have the opportunity to race and compete with others at least twice on the staircases.
